Vancouver

Vancouver is a lively city on Canada's west coast recognized for its breathtaking natural beauty, diverse culture, and outstanding food scene. If you're planning a trip to Vancouver, I recommend including these must-see sights on your itinerary: Stanley Park and Granville Island Market.

Stanley Park

This 1,000-acre urban park on the outskirts of downtown Vancouver is one of the city's top attractions, with lush forests, beautiful gardens, and spectacular vistas of the ocean and mountains. Stanley Park is a popular spot for strolling, cycling, picnicking, and seeing the natural beauty of the city.

There are various ways to enjoy Stanley Park, including walking, biking, and riding in a horse-drawn carriage. The seawall, a 9-kilometer path that winds around the park's perimeter and gives spectacular views of the ocean and mountains, is one of the park's must-see attractions.  The Vancouver Aquarium and a collection of totem poles gathered from rural locations of British Columbia are also located in Stanley Park.

Granville Island Market

Granville Island Market, a bustling marketplace located on a small island just south of downtown Vancouver, is another must-see site. Around 50 merchants sell everything from fresh seafood and locally grown produce to gourmet cheeses, baked products, and handmade crafts at the market.

Visitors to the market can sample delicious foods from around the world, watch artisanal cheese being made, or pick up unique souvenirs and gifts. The market is open seven days a week and is a popular destination for both tourists and locals alike.

While on Granville Island, be sure to visit the Granville Island Brewing Company, the Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and the Public Market's famous daily street entertainers.

Vancouver is a fantastic city with plenty to offer visitors. There's something for everyone in Vancouver, so have a look at some of the activities available here, and let me know what you'd like to do on your vacation.
