Budapest
Budapest is a beautiful and vibrant city that offers a wide range of activities and attractions. Here are some of the top things I enjoyed in Budapest and highly recommend to you:
Visit Buda Castle: The castle is a UNESCO World Heritage site and offers stunning views of the city. You can explore the castle grounds, visit the museums, and take a guided tour to learn about its history.
Soak in the thermal baths: Budapest is famous for its thermal baths, which are said to have healing properties. Two of the most popular thermal baths are Gellert and Szechenyi.
Stroll along the Danube Promenade: The promenade offers beautiful views of the Danube River, as well as the iconic Chain Bridge and the Parliament building. The Shoes Along the Danube is a poignant memorial that should not be missed.
Visit the Hungarian Parliament: The Parliament building is one of the most iconic landmarks in Budapest and offers guided tours to visitors.
Explore the Jewish Quarter: The Jewish Quarter is a vibrant and historic area of the city, with many unique restaurants, bars, and shops. It is also home to the Great Synagogue, which is the largest synagogue in Europe.
Go on a food tour: Budapest is known for its delicious food, and a food tour is a great way to sample some of the local specialties.
Visit St. Stephen's Basilica: The basilica is one of the largest churches in Hungary and is known for its beautiful architecture and artwork.
Take a river cruise: A cruise along the Danube River is a great way to see the city from a different perspective, especially at night when the city is lit up.
